Traditional Songs from Quebec for English-Speakers

I have used a piano sound for these audio files, but, of course, you can sing or use any instrument for these songs. I have intentionally kept these melody and harmony lines simple in terms of ornamentation and phrasing, so that you can feel free to add your own style, adapt the songs to your taste, and choose the tempos and keys you wish.
If you'd like some ideas and inspiration, you can find them by listening to the players listed in the individual song introductions in the book, or under "Recordings", pg. 54. And, in the section "Sources and Resources", pg. 55, you'll find some great places to find recordings.
To listen to individual songs and parts, pick the track you want to hear from the list of samples under the samples tab.
NOTE: To listen to the downloaded mp3 files at a slower tempo—or to change the key—or both, you can buy "The Amazing Slow Downer" or similar programs (for both Mac and PC) online. They are easy, inexpensive, and useful tools that can greatly expedite your learning process.
