While collecting, reviewing and reorganizing educational and concert repertoire for the guitar, Segovia selected and revised twenty of Sor's studies for part of his book of etudes. This selection helped consolidate introductory repertoire for learning the guitar, which had been somewhat unorganized prior to Segovia's work.
