Paulo BellinatiPaulo Bellinati is recognized as one of Brazil's top contemporary guitarists. He has recorded and performed with many important Brazilian musicians including the Pau Brasil group, Gal Costa, Leila Pinheiro, Chico Buarque, and Edu Lobo. In 1994 he won Brazil's equivalent of a Grammy, the "Premio Sharp," for arranging the selection on Gal Costa's CD O Sorriso do Gato de Alice. Paulo's recordings and printed music are published and distributed worldwide by Guitar Solo Publications of San Francisco. His arrangements and compositions have been recorded by many contemporary guitarists including John Williams, the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet, Quaternaglia, Badi Assad, the Assad Duo, Cristina Azuma, the Strano Sisters, Shinichi Fukuda, Timothy Kain, Eduardo Isaac, Ricardo Cobo, and Carlos Barbosa-Lima. |
