Mary Anne AlburgerMary Anne Alburger is an American-born violist and violinist who moved to Scotland in the 1960s. While studying in Glasgow, she began playing Scottish fiddle music, which became an abiding interest. She played with British and Irish orchestras, and later became a string teacher in the Highlands, where she still lives. She has devised and appeared in programs for the BBC, STV, and the Edinburgh International Festival. She also coaches chamber music, conducts, and is a music typesetter. |
