It is with great pleasure that I can inform you that the Kirkmichael International Guitar Festival wishes to bestow upon you a Lifetime Achievement Award for your Outstanding Contribution to the Guitar and Music Education.

We wish to honour you for the tremendous work you have done over the years, and recognise your dedication to promoting the guitar.

I personally cannot think of an individual more deserving of this award.
Your modesty, enthusiasm, and desire to impart your knowledge so generously, has been an inspiration to all that have had the pleasure to meet you and hear you play.

As you may already know, KIGF is taking a break this year and resuming in 2005.
However, Trefor Owen of the North Wales Jazz Guitar Festival, would like us to make the presentation at his festival at Memorial Hall, Wrexham, North Wales on Saturday 21st August 2004.
