January 10: "Blues on Broadway" Big Bill Morganfield at The Palace Theater - He is the son of McKinley Morganfield, better known as Muddy Waters, but Big Bill Morganfield has much more than just a famous musical pedigree. With his voice, guitar playing talent, songwriting skills and stage presence, he is well on his way to becoming a major blues artist in his own right. He won the 2000 W. C. Handy Blues Award (the blues equivalent of a Grammy) for "Best New Artist", and he has two acclaimed CDs, Rising Son and Ramblin' Mind, on the Blind Pig label. He has performed in Blues festivals all over the U. S. and Europe, and The Palace Theater is very pleased to present him here in Maryville.
Concert at 8:00 PM, tickets are $12 in advance, $15 at the door.

January 24: "Jazz at The Palace" Evans & Coppola Quartet
The inaugural concert of the "Jazz at The Palace" series features a richly talented quartet led by vocalist Lucianne Evans and pianist Tom Coppola. Reviews of Pittsburgh native Evans describe her voice and stage presence as "stunning, bluesy, humorous, and captivating". She has made several television and radio appearances and been featured at the Montreal International Jazz Festival. Coppola, a native New Yorker, was the music producer/arranger for NBC's Saturday Night Live from 1984-1990, and has toured with Herbie Mann, Peggy Lee, Marvin Gaye, and The Tommy Dorsey Band among others. The partnership of Evans & Coppola began in 1997, a year after they met on stage at a jam in Asheville, NC. They have recorded five CDs since then and been featured on National Public Radio's A Tribute to Duke Ellington. Concert is at 8:00 PM. Tickets are $12 in advance, $15 at the door.

January 25: Irene Kelley -We welcome Irene back for her third visit to the Palace. A native of Latrobe, Pennsylvania, known for its Rolling Rock Beer, Irene Kelley didn't start picking on a guitar until she was 19 years-old. But, at age 15 she was a singer in a local rock and roll band, doing Led Zeppelin
songs and the like. Unfortunately, she got kicked out when she brought a
Dolly Parton song to a band rehearsal. Concert 8:00 PM - Tickets - $12 in advance and $15.00 at the door.

January 31: Darrell Scott - An Intimate Evening with Darrell Scott....One of the best singer-songwriters ever. Besides releasing 2 solo albums, Darrell's songs have been recorded by The Dixie Chicks, Garth Brooks, Travis Tritt, Daryl Worley, Sara Evans, Patty Loveless, Brad Paisley, and many, many, others....
Concert 8:00 PM - Tickets - $12 in advance and $15.00 at the door.
