Mel Bay's new Qwiklicks titles feature 35-45 minutes of video instruction by Corey Christiansen on DVD with an accompanying full-size chart. Priced at just $9.95, these titles are a great value for the intermediate guitarist who wants to learn to play blues.

Blues Guitar Rhythm Basics teaches the basics of playing electric blues rhythm guitar. The accompanying chart displays the basics of the material taught. Power chords, common chord shapes, fragmented chords, the blues progression itself and other essential aspects of blues rhythm guitar are presented with clear explanations and easy-to-read materials.

Blues Guitar Soloing Basics presents the basics of blues improvisation. Students will learn the essential scales and techniques needed and used by all of today's blues guitarists. Theoretical essentials such as the minor pentatonic and blues scales are covered, and the musical aspects of soloing, effective phrasing and the use of blues notes are taught in a relaxed but informative way.

In Funk Guitar Basics, Corey Christiansen presents the basics of funk guitar in an easy to follow DVD video and chart. The chart gives the basic material that is taught in depth in the DVD.
