Here is an explanation of the various product status codes shown on this site:

Active: The product is currently in print and can be ordered, although it may occasionally be out of stock for a short time.

Out of Print: The product is no longer being produced and is no longer available.

Out of Stock - Not Accepting Backorders: The product is temporarily out of stock, but we are not accepting backorders. This usually applies to items which are imported from other publishers overseas, which may be out of stock longer than usual due to factors beyond our control. If you are interested in an item with this status, please check back later to see if the status has changed.

Out of Stock - Accepting Backorders: The product is out of stock for an extended period of time, but we do plan to stock it again and are accepting backorders.
