Fantastiko” is the Italian word for terrific. This beautiful piece begins in the key of A flat. Amy Beach heard the key of A flat as blue. It is interesting that she composed the last 16 measures in the key of C minor. This last page is in triplets and somehow makes an amazing ending that perhaps is an encore to her own piece. It’s possible that the piece could repeat from the beginning and then end without playing the C minor section. I suggest you decide how you would like to play this piece; however, I believe that it is best to begin again and end in A flat.
