Frist melody: The gorgeous older melody used by Robert Burn for his New Year’s poem, is set to an old Scottish folk tune. The arrangement has two verses, including the slightly varied chorus after each verse. It starts out with simple accompaniment and progresses to fuller chords and octaves in the melody. It makes a nice medley with the better-known version of "Auld Lang Syne".
Second melody: The most well-known melody used for the Robert Burn’s New Year’s poem, is set to a traditional Scottish folk tune. The arrangements have two verses, with the left hand playing wider octave and 10th chords and the right hand plays some suspended harmonies, octaves in the melody and the last verse in the upper register. It makes a nice medley with the older melody of "Auld Lang Syne".
