A "långdans", or long-dance, like this one from Sollerö, Sweden, is a folkdance performed in a line, with men and women holding hands and proceeding around the floor to the left. (Pronounced SOO-leh-ruh LOHNG-dahns)
Although in 3/4 time, the beat is not emphasized in the same way as a waltz. Where a waltz rhythm is played:
ONE-two-three, the långdans gives more emphasis to the third beat: ONE-two-THREE, ONE-two-THREE.
