MARY ANN HARBAR WILLIS
Mary
Ann is internationally recognized for her musical style and skills and has
performed thousands of engagements nationwide and internationally. She has entertained
many heads of state, celebrities and CEOs of top Fortune 500 companies,
including Princesses Anne and Margaret of England, U.S. Presidents George H. W. Bush, George W. Bush, and Richard Nixon, Queen Beatrix of Holland, Texas Governor Anne Richards,
CEOs of NASA and all the major oil companies, John Travolta, Lily Tomlin and
Ernest Borgnine, and many more.
She's played in major
opera houses from Rome to Bayreuth, cruise ships, dozens of five star venues,
and countless mansions and estates, at events including concerts, festivals,
galas, corporate functions, weddings and presidential soirées.
Mary Ann is a best-selling author of 12 book/recordings
for music instructional world leader Mel Bay Publications. She has also written
for Strings, Strad, and American String Teacher magazines. She has
presented numerous violin and fiddle workshops for the American String Teachers
Association, Rocky Mountain Fiddle Camp and Strings without Boundaries.
Her
alma maters include the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Bennington College
and L'Institut des Hautes Études Musicales (Montreux, Switzerland). She
holds a B.A. in classical violin from the University of California, as well as
California and Texas music teaching credentials.
