WILLIAM FLYNN
William Flynn is a Kansas-based jazz guitarist and composer whose playing has been praised as "uplifting and inspiring (F5 Magazine) and is described as "playing a mean guitar" (Wichita Eagle). William is a first-call guitarist in the Wichita area, regularly appearing as both a leader and sideman at local clubs and festivals. Equally accomplished and respected as an educator, William has taught and presented at conferences, universities, and societies around the country. William holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Studies from Capital University (Columbus, OH), and a Master of Music degree from the University of North Texas, where he held a position as a Graduate Teaching Fellow. As a member of the One O'Clock Lab Band, he can be heard on Lab 2012. William's most recent release as a leader, The Songbook Project, is available on the Armored Records label. William currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Jazz Guitar at Wichita State University, where he teaches applied jazz guitar, and jazz improvisation, and directs the Guitar Ensemble.
