CHRISTOPHER RUDY
Christopher Rudy was born in South Euclid, Ohio; raised in Midland, Michigan; and graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science degree in zoology, from Western Michigan University with a Master of Arts degree in chemistry, and from the University of Toledo with a Juris Doctor degree in law. He married in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He served in the U.S. Army, Michigan National Guard, and U.S. Army Reserve, retiring with the rank of captain. Mr. Rudy practices law as a patent attorney. One of Mr. Rudy's long-time interests has been music, beginning as many youngsters do with piano lessons. He has played the 5-string banjo off and on since high school, in both Scruggs' and clawhammer styles. Although he most often plays at home and says that he battles stage fright, over the years he has played and sung in various public settings to include at nursing homes, festivals, and other venues. He enjoys just playing music with family and friends. As well, Mr. Rudy likes singing in church. He formed a men's/boys' schola cantorum (school of singers) for chanting Gregorian chant at his parish and elsewhere.
