KEVIN MILLER
Kevin Miller is a guitarist and composer based out of New York City. While receiving his undergraduate degree in Jazz Guitar Studies at The New School, he became very interested in creating an instructional book for guitarists looking to incorporate the dense harmonic ideas that were first explored by musicians like John Coltrane and McCoy Tyner. This interest led to the creation of his book, Outside Sounds and Substitutions for Modern Jazz Guitar. Kevin has spent time performing and studying with musicians such as Matthew Shipp, Rodney Jones, Peter Bernstein, Buster Williams, and many others. It is Kevin's hope that he can translate some of the wisdom he has received from these musicians into his output as an instructor.
