GABRIEL ROSATI
Italian born trumpeter, Gabriel Rosati, is a multi-faceted performer, composer and arranger. He has published eleven instructional books and has recorded nine albums. He studied classical trumpet in Europe with Pierre Thibaud, John Wallace, Vinko Globokar and Bo Nilsson. He has performed with the Carabinieri Military Brass Band, Pescara Academy Orchestra, Swiss Youth Symphony, and the Strasbourg European Symphony.
He has played widely in Latin Jazz and World Beat music. He has performed with the Bob Mintzer Big Band, John Handy, Malo, Santana, Os Originais do Samba, Rique Pantoja, San Francisco All Star Big Band, Tom Kubis, La Sonora Dinamita, and the Perez Prado All Stars among others. In the world of Blues, R&B and Funk, he has played with Gregg Allman, Billy Preston, Willy King, "Savage City," and the Checkmates. Gabriel Rosati presently tours as a clinician and freelances on trumpet and trombone in the Los Angeles area. He is the musical director and leader of the "Brazilatafro Project." He has been nominated as "Best Jazz" at the Orange County Music Awards 2008. Rosati also appeared on video with singer Vinicio Capossela for Capitol Records with Gerardo ("Darroumba" Video). Rosati has toured twice with his own band in Japan. Gabriel opened at the Osaka Ritz Carlton Hotel.
He is the composer and arranger of jingles, background music for films including smooth jazz, techno, orchestral, tango, and Brazilian rhythms. He is filming his first music documentary entitled "Gabriel 'O Pensador."
