            Travis Reuter is a New York City-based guitarist and  composer. Since moving to New York he has performed in  groups led by Linda Oh, Corey King, Bobby Avey, Jeremy  Viner, Danny Sher, Natalie John, Aaron Kruziki, and many  others. Travis holds a BA in Jazz Performance from The  New School in New York City and later studied at Brooklyn  College. While a student at The New School Travis studied  with Ben Monder, Adam Rogers, and Vic Juris while  studying classical guitar with Frederic Hand. As a graduate  student at Brooklyn College, Travis studied composition on  principle with Jason Eckardt and electronic music with  Douglas Geers. Travis was a semi-finalist in the 2008  Montreux Jazz Guitar Competition in Switzerland and was a  recipient of the 2009 ASCAP Young Jazz Composer Award.  He has one album out as a leader, Rotational Templates  (New Focus 2011), and continues to remain active in New  York City as a bandleader and side-person in numerous  projects.
