ALEXANDER VINITSKY
Alexander Vinitsky - composer, arranger, famous Russian classical guitar soloist, masterfully performing various jazz styles and arrangements. Russian State Gnessin Music Academy graduate (classical guitar major, class of professor N.A.Komolatov) Alexander Vinitsky was born in Omsk, Siberia, in 1950. From early years, love for jazz has determined his future path Authoritative reliable musical critiques find that extensive knowledge of music, academic school, excessive mastery of various jazz styles and art of arrangement, fine techniques, orchestra mindset allow to define Vinitsky's work as an individual music field, that he himself calls "Classical Guitar in Jazz". Blues, Brazilian bossa nova, folk, contemporary, jazz, and classical music traditions mutually enrich his music. For many years Alexander Vinitsky has been developing his own system of music education based on his published materials "Teacher and Student", "Eurythmics for Guitar Players", "The Tuning" (guitar quartet guide)," Blues in Chord Progressions", "Jazz Studies and Exercises", "Way to Jazz", "Blues in Chords" and many others. For the last 25 years Vinitsky organizes and teaches guitar summer, winter, and spring schools, which programs contain interactive rhythmic and harmony classes, the art of accompanying, improvisation secrets, master classes and concerts. Over 40 guitar quartets with base (both originals and arrangements) were written especially for those schools, being performed by orchestras of up to 60 guitar players. The music is classical, jazz, Latin, romantic, and motion pictures soundtracks.
