ROBERT CONSTAS
Marie and Robert Constas co-founded the Windsongs Recorder Ensemble in Arizona and performed with this group as semi-professionals for several years. Their major music activity now is a composition for recorder and performance as a recorder duet in churches. Robert is a physician psychiatrist at the Phoenix Indian Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. Marie is a former psychiatric nurse. They especially enjoy the Southwest-inspired style of Native American music. Those who hear their music enjoy the melody, rhythm, and harmony that convey energy, relaxation, and joy at the same time. They seek to express in their music the Navajo concept of hosho, a combination of aesthetic beauty and goodness in a total harmonious blend of living. You may also enjoy the authors' other Mel Bay recorder collections: Wedding Music for Recorder and Chants and Reflections for Recorder.
