MICHAEL GREEN
Michael Green is an in-demand performer and educator. Notable acts include The Justin Kalk Orchestra, Ricky Van Shelton, Vassar Clements, Bonnie Bramlett, David "Fathead" Newman, the Nashville Jazz Orchestra, Greenland, and many more. Michael Green received his bachelor's in Music from Belmont University in Nashville, TN where he studied with world-renowned drummer, Chester Thompson. Michael was then awarded a fellowship to study with world-famous jazz drummer, Danny Gottlieb, at the University of South Florida where he received a master's in music with an emphasis on Jazz Performance. Following grad school, Michael and Danny co-authored their first book with Mel Bay, The Drummer's Workbook for Control and Creativity. Michael is the editor of Mel Bay's Percussion Sessionsr, a webzine devoted to percussion education.
